We live for the night.

A Lentz Landscape Lighting home does not look like other professionally lit homes. So how do you tell them apart? You will notice your eyes are drawn to the dancing shadows and patterns that the soft, natural downlighting and uplighting creates, instead of to the lighting itself – that is how you know.

This artful technique, which our skilled designers have been applying to fine homes since 1986, is our hallmark. It not only results in a very pleasing nightscape, but an environmentally friendly and safe one as well. Because of the light sources we use and the way we use them, our landscape lighting also helps you save money, and discourages types who prefer the cover of darkness from approaching your property.

The Lentz Companies are a member of the American Lighting Association, Better Business Bureau, National Homebuilders Association and the Dallas Chamber of Commerce.

History

Lentz Landscape Lighting has been living for the night since 1986. It was at that time we realized people were spending a lot of money on gorgeous landscapes they were only really able to enjoy during the day. Whether they were sitting outdoors on the patio after dark or indoors looking out, they could not see their surroundings once the sun went down. We thought that quite a shame.

So we began employing skilled workers who had the combined talents of aesthetic design and electrical know-how, to transform exteriors all around the D/FW metroplex. Over the last 25 years as our reputation has grown, our clientele has too, to include fine homes throughout Texas and around the country. Take a look at just a few of the homes in our portfolio.

Our sibling company, Lentz Services, was started in 1990 to extend this same passion and expertise to home interiors as well.

Our Team

Your landscape lighting crew is actually a team of professional artists, each led by an experienced designer. They work together to realize the hidden potential in every home, using their collective electrical expertise to make it happen.

The whole process from start to finish is a bit like painting a picture, but instead of a canvas, it is your property. And instead of paints, lights are used to call out the features of your home and lawn you love most. (See some examples of how we do this in our Gallery of Projects.)

First, you will consult with a dedicated designer. He visits your home by light of day to discuss your wants and needs and listen to any ideas you may have before work begins. Then he will create a rendering for the actual placement and composition of your nightlighting. Once the installation is complete, he returns in the evening to tweak and perfect until you are absolutely satisfied.

The end result is a magical combination of uplighting, downlighting and safety lighting, so your property will always be seen in the best possible light.

Green Commitment

In an age of eco-friendliness and inconspicuous consumption, Lentz Landscape Lighting takes pride in identifying the “next big green thing.” Before it was even cool to do so, our designers were recommending ultra-efficient light-emitting diodes (LEDs) over mercury vapor lights, which have dominated landscape lighting for decades.

LEDs offer the same benefits of mercury vapor including broad color temperature range and excellent coverage. In addition, LEDs are:

  • Dimmable — so you can change as needed
  • Long lasting — lamp life more than twice as long as mercury vapor
  • Efficient — they consume a fraction of the energy
  • Cost-effective — save you up to 75% over other light sources

As lighting sources continue to evolve and improve, our commitment to you is to always keep pace with the options.

Need our help inside? Lentz Services offers green electrical/HVAC solutions there, too.
